It may not seem important, but getting notified when people subscribe or unsubscribe to your email list is very essential.
If you have unsubscribes don’t send an email like that again.
What triggered your subscriptions? If you know what’s going right, you can do more of it.
Subscribes are motivating! People like you and want to hear from you! Seeing the subscribes come in will encourage you to write blog posts and send emails.
Here’s how to turn on subscribe and unsubscribe notifications
For accounts with Lists
Go to your Mailchimp dashboard. Click on Lists. (Mailchimp is changing things up as I write this post so if you have Audiences scroll down for the written instructions.)
Click on Settings
Click on List Names and Defaults
Scroll down to new subscriber notifications
Add your email address in the field to get the notifications you want.
For Account with Audiences
Go to your Mailchimp dashboard. Click on Audiences.
Make sure you’re working with the correct list and click the Manage Audience button.
In the dropdown menu click on settings.
Click on Audience Names and Defaults.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page to new subscriber notifications.
Add your email address to get notifications.
What’s better than getting a ping when people subscribe and ask you to market to them? OK lots of things, but this is a little change you can make that will put a smile on your face every time you see a notification.
