Today, we’re going to learn how to share Your Mailchimp template with somebody outside of your of account.
Access your Mailchimp template
Access to your templates can be found in Campaigns and then Email Templates.
Locate the template you would like to share.
Go to the dropdown on the right and click Share.
Share your template by URL or sending it in an email
There are a couple of options here:
- Share by email, add the email address here and then share the template.
- Share by URL
Both work the same, and both work well. I personally prefer to share by URL.
Receiving a shared template into a Mailchimp account
Make sure you’re logged into the Mailchimp account you want the template to move into.
Add the link into the search bar, and Mailchimp will automatically open with the new template.
Open the template, and make sure that it came in correctly.
Now, you have the new template in your Mailchimp account.
Why would you share a template?
If you are a franchisor, you may want to create several branded templates for your franchisees to use. This way, you have control over how your brand is being represented, and because adding a template to an account is so quick and easy, your franchisees are more likely to use templates.
Make sure your franchisees have a newsletter template or a monthly newsletter they can use to communicate with their customers. You’ll also want them to have a simplified template with just a branded header and footer. This will allow them to send out notices of sales or changes in store hours.
Likewise, national non-profits that have regional chapters may want to share templates. The local non-profit chapter can customize the template by adding their logo and location.
